Mack McMillan, District Superintendent
Samuel Duncan “Mack” McMillan III was named Rocky Mount District Superintendent in 2008.

He began his appointive ministry in the Rocky Mount District serving as the student associate at First UMC in Roanoke Rapids. He has also served Pikeville – Mt. Carmel in the Goldsboro District, Mt. Zion in the Raleigh District, Riverside in the Elizabeth City District, New Beginnings in Youngsville and Saint Luke UMC in Laurinburg in the Rockingham District.

Mack is married to the former Paige Lancaster of Fayetteville. She teaches first grade at Williford Elementary in Rocky Mount. Mack and Paige are the parents of two college students. Duncan attends Campbell University. Hannah attends UNC-Chapel Hill. 

Mack is an ordained elder and has been a full member of the North Carolina Conference since 1989. He finished twelve years on the Board of Ordained Ministry and seven years as Chair of the Order of Elders. In past quadrennial assignments, he has served on the Board of Church and Society and the Board of Education.

Fran Stafford, Administrative Assistant
Fran Stafford has been Administrative Assistant to two District Superintendents of the Rocky Mount District since early December of 2002; most recently working for D.S., Mack McMillan and previously working for D.S., Bill Simpson.  Prior to joining the Rocky Mount District she was employed by Hardee’s Food Systems, Inc. in the Information Technology Department. She was employed by Hardee’s for 24 years.

Fran is married to H. V. Stafford and they have one son, Will.  Will is a teenager, who is an avid fisherman.  Fran has a strong desire to serve Christ; and works with the Beginners children regularly at her home church. Her favorite pass time is training and enjoying her three toy poodles and one Australian Shepherd.
