Caswell Shaw, District Superintendent
The Reverend Caswell E. Shaw, Jr. is the District Superintendent for the Rocky Mount District of The United Methodist Church.

Reverend Shaw served previously as the Rocky Mount District Superintendent from 1989-1994.  He also served as the New Bern District Superintendent from 2001-2003.

Reverend Shaw replaces Reverend Tim Russell, Interim District Superintendent of the Rocky Mount District.  Reverend Russell is also Assistant to the Bishop and Director of the Office of Ministerial Relations for the North Carolina Conference of The UMC.  Reverend Russell was named as the Interim Superintendent of the Rocky Mount District following the death of Reverend Mack McMillan in October 2010.

Fran Stafford, Administrative Assistant
Fran Stafford has been Administrative Assistant to two District Superintendents of the Rocky Mount District since early December of 2002; most recently working for D.S., Mack McMillan and previously working for D.S., Bill Simpson.  Prior to joining the Rocky Mount District she was employed by Hardee’s Food Systems, Inc. in the Information Technology Department. She was employed by Hardee’s for 24 years.

Fran is married to H. V. Stafford and they have one son, Will.  Will is a teenager, who is an avid fisherman.  Fran has a strong desire to serve Christ; and works with the Beginners children regularly at her home church. Her favorite pass time is training and enjoying her three toy poodles and one Australian Shepherd.
